Founded by close friends and business partners John & Christy Taylor and John & Heather Petersen, NexGen Nomads brings together decades of experience in finance, customer service, operations, technology, and strategic growth. Meet Our Founders

John Taylor brings over 30 years of experience in finance and strategic planning. John is passionate about helping others achieve financial success. A U.S. Army Veteran and seasoned financial advisor, he brings discipline, foresight, and a results-driven approach to NexGen Nomads. His expertise ensures that every property we manage is profitable, well-maintained, and aligned with long-term investment goals. More than just numbers, John is dedicated to building trust and delivering value to property owners and guests. 

 Christy Taylor is an experienced professional with a diverse background in medical billing, office administration, and military service. A proud U.S. Army Veteran, Christy brings discipline, organizational skills, and a strong sense of teamwork to everything she does.  Christy is known for her attention to detail and commitment to exceptional service. Married to John Taylor for nearly 28 years, Christy’s perspective and support contribute to the foundation and growth of NexGen Nomads. 

John Petersen has spent over 30 years leading technology, business operations, and strategic initiatives, including serving as a Chief Information Officer and earning an MBA from the University of Maryland. A U.S. Air Force Veteran and aviation enthusiast, John is passionate about optimizing systems, technology, and processes to create exceptional guest experiences while maximizing efficiency for property owners. As NexGen Nomads’ operational leader, he ensures everything runs smoothly—from booking to checkout.

Heather Petersen combines nursing, design, and hospitality to create beautiful, welcoming guest spaces. With years of experience in patient care and advocacy, she understands what it takes to make a space truly comfortable and functional. Married to John Petersen for 30 years, Heather’s eye for detail, warmth, and high standards ensure that NexGen Nomads properties feel like home—only better.

• Partner Model – A high-earning, stress-free approach for owners who don't want to manage a short-term rental. We handle everything—marketing, guest relations, maintenance—so you can earn more while doing less.
